International Development Education and Awareness Raising (IDEAR) Grant

The £30,000 International Development Education & Awareness Raising Grant is awarded on an annual basis to an Isle of Man registered organisation or partnership, to deliver global development education and raise awareness of international development issues on the Island in an innovative and exciting manner. The successful organisation will be expected to work alongside others in the third sector and with External Relations in the Cabinet Office in order to best support the Island’s education and awareness on international development matters.

This grant stream has previously been known as the International Development Education, Awareness and Strategy Grant and the Global Development Education & Awareness Grant.

The One World Centre (Manx Registered Charity No. 1192) are the current grant holders for the 2023-2024 International Development Education and Awareness Raising Grant.

2024 sees the second year of the refocused International Development Education & Awareness Raising Grant of £30,000 that is to be awarded on an annual basis to an Isle of Man registered organisation or partnership, to deliver global development education and raise awareness of international development issues on the Island in an innovative and exciting manner. The successful organisation will be expected to work alongside others in the third sector and with External Relations in the Cabinet Office in order to best support the Island’s education and awareness on international development matters.

The 2024-2025 grant period will run from August 2024 – August 2025 with the grant being issued in one instalment at the start of this period.

Applications for the 2024-25 funding period opened on Friday 31 May 2024 and closed at midnight on Friday 21 June 2024.
