Social Security is part of The Treasury. We are responsible for the administration of the Island's state pensions and social security benefits.
We provide benefits for:
- Bereavement
- Families and children
- Illness and disability
- People in work
- People on a low income
- Retirement
- Unemployment
We also regulate some elements of Isle of Man based occupational and personal pension schemes.
We also manage:
At the Job Centre we provide CV and job search advice, training and disability employment services.

Based on the Ground floor at Ramsey Town Hall, Ramsey
Tuesday 9.15am to 1pm and 1.45pm to 4.30pm
Supporting documentation
If you send original documents to support your benefit claim to us in the mail, we will return any original tenancy agreements, birth certificates or passports to you.
All other original documents (such as bank statements and payslips) or copies you provide, will be securely destroyed in line with our privacy policy.
If you bring in original documents to support your benefit claim to our counters, our customer service assistants will photocopy these and hand them back to you. This includes:
- birth certificates
- passports
- payslips
- tenancy agreements
- bank statements
At busy times we will ask you to wait while we copy your documents.
